Medical Claims Service:
Elderly United offers a Medical Claims Service, which is a quality benefit counseling program for citizens of Clark County, age 60 years and older. Trained counselors will assist clients in getting the maximum amount of benefits to which the clients are entitled and any refunds they may deserve. Through training and seminars, their knowledge of State and Federal Insurance rules and regulations is constantly updated. The counselors are strong advocates for the seniors and take the confusion and intimidation out of processing claims. This service is free, but you will be offered the opportunity to donate a portion of the cost of the service.
The program provides assistance with:

  • Medical Bills
  • Medicare/Medicare Appeals
  • Medigap/Secondary Insurances
  • Cancer Policies
  • Long Term/Nursing Home Policies
  • Insurance Comparisons
  • Living Wills/notarized
  • Durable Power of Attorney
  • Preparing health insurance forms
  • Estate Planning
  • Revocable Trusts
  • HMO counseling
  • Prescription assistance

Minority Outreach/Community Wellness

CHORE:
The Chore service is designed to assist persons age 60 and older who have difficulty with routine exterior home maintenance tasks and have no one to perform these tasks for them.

Chore services include grass cutting, leaf mulching, trimming shrubs, and cleaning windows and gutters.

Requests for Chore services can be made by calling 937-323-4948. The office will schedule the work and contact you with the day and time the chore worker will come to your home to perform the tasks you requested. Every effort is made to schedule requests as soon as possible but a slight delay may be possible if there is a heavy demand for the service.

You will be asked to donate a portion of the cost of the service. However, you will not be denied service because of your inability to pay.
